With all mobility and disability products it is essential to choose products that are suitable to ensure that the user's weight is comfortably within the weight limits specified by the manufacturers. This is particularly important when you are choosing products to support a heavier user. Warranties are based on users being within those limits and product safety, performance and longevity will depend on the kind of wear and tear that the equipment receives. Don't try and cut corners - make sure you take advice and go for the right specification of product and do get advice from your local Occupational Therapist.
Many products are available on this site , care should be taken when purchasing products that are mechanically and electrically powered for example electric wheelchairs, scooters, beds and riser and recliner chairs. Make sure that the products be serviced at least once per year from where you have purchased them from. This gives you piece of mind that you wont be left stuck down a country road on your scooter , or stuck reclined in your bed !
